Smith Crowed Little Miss Junior

 

            Oneida, TN (2010-08-24) The 42nd annual Little Miss Junior Fairest of the Fair pageant ended on Tuesday with the crowning of Annabelle Smith, the 6-year-old daughter of Jackie and Renea Smith of Oneida.

            Smith, a kindergarten student at Oneida Elementary School, was crowned Little Miss Junior Fairest of the Fair Tuesday night, being chosen from a field of twenty contestants.  She was sponsored by Brimstone Recreation.

            Kendyl West, the 8-year-old daughter of Marv and Tressa West of Oneida, was selected first runner-up.  A third grade student at Oneida Elementary School, Kendyl was sponsored by Tami’s Hair and Nail Salon.

            Robbins Elementary School third grader Alexis Brooke Griffith was chosen second runner up to the crown.  Alexis, the 8-year-old daughter of Les and Tricia Griffith of Robbins, was sponsored by Carson Builders Construction.

            Faced with a difficult decision, the judges initially chose thirteen of the twenty contestants.

            Those making the top eight were:  McKinlee Faith Byrd, the 8-year-old daughter of Gary and Natasha Byrd of Oneida; Sophia Hope Matthews, the 7-year-old daughter of Mark and Jamie Matthews of Oneida; Raven Sierra Mullis, the 7-year-old daughter of Cody and Ella Mullis of Oneida; Bethany Ann Stanley, 8-year-old daughter of Dwight and Kimberly Stanley of Oneida; and Jaleigh Celeste Strunk, the 8-year-old daughter of Heath and Lesley Strunk of Oneida.

            Rounding out the top thirteen were:  Abby Grace Bridges, the 7-year-old daughter of Jason and Kim Bridges; Amy Marcum, the 6-year-old daughter of Rebecca Marcum and Chris Marcum; Mollie Kena-Shae Overton, the 6-year-old daughter of Kendra Overton and Chris Overton; Kloey Nicole Sexton, 6-year-old daughter of John and Danielle Sexton; and Karman Aaliyah Smith, the 8-year-old daughter of Samson and Jennifer Smith.
