Pioneer Man Arrested For Drug Possession Uses False ID

Oneida, TN (2011-01-24) A Pioneer man being booked for drug possession is facing additional charges after he allegedly gave corrections officers a fake ID.

Timothy Lee Allen, Jr., 35, of Pioneer has been charged with fabricating evidence, forgery (three counts), criminal impersonation, and unlawful use of a license following the discovery he had given authorities who were booking him on drug possession charges a false identification.

According to an arrest warrant filed by Officer Adam Douglas of the Oneida Police Department, Allen, while being booked on drug possession charges at the Oneida Police Department, assumed the identity of Michael L. Young.  Allen, stated the warrant, purported to be Young, giving authorities a drivers’ license in Young’s name and signing several booking documents with the assumed name.

After Allen was transferred to the Scott County Jail, Corrections Officers discovered the deception.

On January 19, 2011, Allen was arrested and booked for possession of a Xanax, a schedule IV controlled substance.  After being stopped in the parking lot of the Oneida Shell Station at the corner of Alberta and Depot Street by Oneida Police Chief Darryl Laxton, Allen bolted.  Laxton chased Allen, who ran from the scene and onto the Norfolk Southern tracks.  Laxton caught up to Allen about 100 yards down the rail bed.  Allen, whose clothing was reportedly stained with blood, was reportedly treated at the scene for minor, self-inflicted wounds.  Allen, stated the warrant, likewise gave ambulance workers a fake ID.
