Four Express Interest In Oneida Directors’ Job

 

            Oneida, TN (2011-04-01) Four people have expressed interest in the top administrative job at the Oneida Special School District.

            According to Chairman Nancy Williamson of the Oneida Special School District Board of Education, four persons have tendered resumes seeking the Director of Schools’ job at Oneida.  Of those, two are currently employed by the system, one is currently at Director at another local educational institution, and one is an administrator from Morgan County.

            Current employees seeking the Director’s position are:  Ann Daugherty, who has been the Supervisor of Instruction for the Oneida Special School District since 2004 (most recently in a semi-retired role); and Rick Harper, Consolidated School Health Coordinator and former high school principal for the district.

            Others persons to apply for the job included the current Director of the Tennessee Technology Center of Oneida/Huntsville and former Scott County Mayor, Dwight Murphy; and Dr. Joseph A. Miller, Assistant Principal of Sunbright High School.  Miller also applied for the Scott County Schools’ Director’s job.

            The Oneida School Board has not established a timeline for hiring a new Director.  Current Director S. Henry Baggett’s contract will expire on June 30, 2011.
