KY Pair Arrested On Meth Charges

 

            Oneida, TN (2011-04-18) The keen eye of a local police officer has led to the arrest of two Kentucky men on methamphetamine charges.

            Terry L. Denney, 46, and Bobby S. Foster, 23, both of Monticello, KY were arrested on Saturday on a variety of drug charges, including the promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine. 

On Saturday, Oneida Police Officer Blake Murphy allegedly observed a suspicious male suspect exiting a local pharmacy, who, upon seeing the officer, abruptly turned and re-entered the business.  After circling back around the parking lot, Officer Murphy observed the white Ford Ranger that the male subjected had been apparently headed toward had left.  A short time later, Murphy allegedly found the vehicle attempting to turn around behind the business.

After stopping the vehicle, Murphy allegedly found Denney behind the wheel.  Denney reportedly gave authorities permission to search the vehicle, where officers allegedly recovered a host of meth related items, including cold tablets containing pseudoephedrine, lye drain opener, Coleman fuel, aluminum foil, lithium batteries, and plastic tubing.

A short time later, officer found the second suspect, later identified as Foster, walking along the sidewalk at Oneida Plaza.

Denney was charged with promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.  Foster was charged with promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Murphy was aided in his investigation by fellow officers, William Angel and Michael Blaker.
