Oneida School Board To Evaluate Director Applicants

Oneida, TN (2011-04-18) The Oneida Special School District Board of Education will hold a special-called work session on Friday morning.  One of the items the Board will likely discuss is the applicants for the Director of Schools job.

The Oneida Special School District Board of Education will hold a special called work session on Friday, April 22, 2011 to evaluate the candidates for the Director of School job.  Although the Board hasn’t publically disclosed its intended process to interview and hire a new Director, Board Chairman Dr. Nancy Williamson indicated last week the Board will be evaluating the applicants for the job on Friday.

At some point, the Board is expected to interview all four applicants for the position.  Applicants include current employees Ann Daugherty, who has been the Supervisor of Instruction for the Oneida Special School District since 2004 (most recently in a semi-retired role); and Rick Harper, Consolidated School Health Coordinator and former high school principal for the district. Others persons that have applied included the current Director of the Tennessee Technology Center of Oneida/Huntsville and former Scott County Mayor, Dwight Murphy; and Dr. Joseph A. Miller, Assistant Principal of Sunbright High School.

Friday’s work session will begin at 8:00 a.m.
