On
Monday, May 2, 2011, women from all walks of life will join together to build a
future for a deserving Habitat for Humanity homeowner. The project, NAILS for NAILS, will construct
a single-family home in
“In these sometime difficult times, we need the positive support of other ladies from all walks of life,” commented Haley Terry. Support can come in many forms, from warm greetings, a shoulder to cry on, a manicure for her nails, or swinging a hammer to drive home nails to construct a new home.
The
home build will last about two weeks, as the projected completion date is
Friday, May 13, 2011.
Despite a personal battle with cancer, Mrs. Smith devoted countless hours to Applachia Habitat and its mission to provide affordable housing to the people of the region. She passed away in April 2009.
