Oneida Woman / KY Couple Arrested In Connection With Oneida Burglaries

Oneida, TN (2011-05-02) An Oneida woman and a Kentucky couple have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in the Oneida area.

Jennifer Johnson, of Oneida, along with Jackie Neal, Jr., 28, and Jessica Neal, age 24, both of Kentucky, were arrested last week following an investigation into a number of recent burglaries in the Oneida area.  The trio has been charged with criminal conspiracy (5 counts), theft (6 counts), burglary (7 counts), and vandalism (7 counts).

On April 6, 2011, Officer Jason Pike of the Oneida Police Department investigated a theft from the Clothes Pin Laundry in Oneida.  Johnson was allegedly identified by authorities from surveillance footage taken at the business.  Upon further investigation, local authorities allegedly connected the Neals to the crime.

Subsequently, the Oneida Police Department dealt with several other burglaries, including thefts from Taylor’s Car Wash and at least three different storage units in the Oneida area.  After a thorough investigation by Investigator Shonda Duncan of the Oneida Police Department, the trio was allegedly connected to the other crime scenes.

Sgt. William Angel, Narcotics Officer Blake Murphy and Patrolman Adam Douglas assisted in the investigations.
