Sexton Named New Director of Oneida
Schools
At the conclusion of Thursday night’s regularly scheduled meeting of the Oneida Special School District Board of Education, the five member body voted unanimously to appoint long time employee Ann Sexton to the top administrative position. Sexton, who has worked for the system for nearly 40 years, has held many positions, including Assistant Director to former Director Mayfield Brown, interim Director Dr. Ed Roeske, and departing Director Henry Baggett. In the last couple years, Sexton had stepped back from the day-to-day operations of the district, maintaining a semi-retired role.
While the School Board has offered Sexton the job, her placement is subject to contract negotiations, which will held during a work session on Monday, June 20, 2011. The session will begin at 6:00 p.m.
