Five Juveniles Injured in Oneida Accident

 

            Oneida, TN (2011-05-14) Five juveniles were injured early Saturday evening in a single vehicle crash on Helenwood Detour Road in south Oneida.

            According to Sgt. Stacey Heatherly of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, five juveniles received minor, non-life threatening injuries in a single vehicle traffic crash on Helenwood Detour Road Saturday evening.  The crash, which happened around 6:00 p.m., reportedly occurred just south of the Ray’s Fireworks.

            The unidentified victims were all transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County by the Scott County Ambulance Service.

            Trooper Jonathon Scott of the Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.  Due to the age of the victims, their identities are being withheld pending the conclusion of the investigation.

            The Scott County Sheriff’s Department and the Mid-County Fire Department also responded to the scene.
