SCSD Investigating Williams Creek Shooting

Huntsville, TN (2011-09-16) The Scott County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating an alleged shooting incident in the Williams Creek community.

According to Scott County Sheriff Mike Cross, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night at a residence on Williams Creek Road. The victim, which has not been identified, was reportedly shot in the lower abdomen near the pelvic region.

The male subject was reportedly transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center of Scott County, and then, airlifted to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. In a related incident, an altercation reportedly occurred at the local hospital, leading to authorities being called to the facility.
