Five Arrested In Helenwood Meth Bust
Adam Brian Boshears, age 23, his father, William Brian Boshears, age 45, and his girlfriend, Brittany Michelle Powell, 20, all of Helenwood and Latasha Ann Boshears, age 22, of Helenwood and her live-in boyfriend, Jonathon Lee Silcox, 31, of Pioneer were all arrested Tuesday afternoon following a drug bust at a pair of homes on Scott Highway in the Helenwood community.
According to authorities, the quintet was reportedly living in a pair of adjoining homes in the Helenwood community. Law enforcement officials reportedly found evidence of the manufacture of methamphetamine inside and around the dwellings, including the discovery of 64 individual one-pot meth labs, along with enough evidence to led them to believe up to 100 “cooks” may have been performed at the home(s).
The five were charged with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine, and the manufacture of methamphetamine. In addition, Adam Boshears was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Bond for Adam Boshears was set at $60,000, while Latasha Boshears and Brittany Powell’s bail was set at $50,000. William Boshears and Jonathon Silcox were held without bond on probation violations.
Chief Deputy Ronnie Phillips, along with Drug Agent Kris Lewallen spearheaded the investigation. Captain Gary Sexton, Sgt. Danny Phillips, Sgt. Paul D. Adkins, Det. Jennifer Culver, K-9 Deputy Roger Douglas, and Deputy Cody Yancey assisted.
Lewallen, Phillips and Douglas, with the assistance of the Tennessee Methamphetamine Drug Task Force and the Mid-County Volunteer Fire Department, cleaned up the contamination.
