Planning Underway For 63^rd Annual Christmas Parade

Huntsville, TN (2011-11-15) With the holidays near, the Scott County Chamber of Commerce is finalizing plans for its annual Christmas Parade. The final day for persons to enter the holiday happening is Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

According to Stacey Kidd, Executive Director of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce, the 63^rd Annual Scott County Christmas Parade presented by the local Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The annual event will again be held on the streets on Oneida, beginning at HBD Industries on Industrial Lane, turn north on Alberta Street to Municipal Drive, and then, eventually disband in the parking lot at Oneida Elementary School.

Applications for entry into the parade are now being accepted. Forms may be picked up at the Scott County Chamber of Commerce office, 12025 Scott Highway, Huntsville or download from their website at www.scottcountychamber.com. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Deadline for returning applications is Wednesday, November 30, 2011 by 5:00 p.m.

In the event of rain, the parade will be held Sunday, December 4th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.
